
Apple & Pork Rib Stew for Little Ones (12m+)
Super yummy and soft for your toddler!
🌿 Ingredients:

1 Apple (diced, skin on or off)

2-3 thin slices of Ginger

Water
-
Optional: 1 stalk Green Scallion (cut into sections or chopped)
👩🍳 Steps:
1️⃣ Prep:
* Dice the apple (leave skin on for extra fiber, or peel if preferred).
* Rinse the spare ribs.
2️⃣ Blanch Ribs:
* Bring a pot of water to a boil.
* Add the spare ribs and ginger slices.
* Boil for 5-10 minutes to remove impurities.
3️⃣ Rinse & Sear:
* Remove ribs, discard the boiling water.
* Rinse ribs with fresh, cool boiled water and pat them dry.
* In a clean pot, lightly pan-sear the ribs on all sides until slightly golden (optional, but adds flavor!).
4️⃣ Simmer:
* Add the diced apple to the pot with the ribs.
* If using, add the green scallion.
* Pour in enough fresh water to just cover all ingredients.
* Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low-medium.
* Cover with a lid and simmer gently for about 50 minutes, or until ribs are very tender.
5️⃣ Cool & Serve:
* Let it cool down to a safe temperature for your toddler.
* Important: Remove any bones from the ribs carefully.
* Shred or cut the meat into small, toddler-friendly pieces.
* The apple will be very soft. You can mash it slightly with the broth.
* Serve warm! 😊
