Black Thorn is the durian that connoisseurs argue for. Hernan Food wraps its rich, bittersweet flesh in a snow skin rolled thin enough that the filling, not the pastry, is what you taste. The skin is a striking charcoal black, soft and chewy straight from the freezer compartment, and it gives way to a dense golden durian centre.
