Nagano Kirakira Peach, tree-ripened and graded one fruit at a time by JA Green Nagano.
These come from the northern Shinshu basin where the Chikuma and Sai rivers meet, some of the best peach ground in Japan. Two things make them worth knowing about. First, they are left on the tree to ripen fully instead of being picked early to travel, which is where the sugar comes from. Second, every single peach passes through a transmission sugar sensor before it is allowed into the box, so sweetness is measured, not hoped for. Only the top grade carries the 輝々桃 name.
The eating quality is the surprise. This is a crisp peach, snappy under the tooth rather than soft and dripping. If you prefer yours yielding, leave it out at room temperature in a well-ventilated spot for a day or two and it will soften.

日本長野縣 JAグリーン長野 輝々桃（キラキラモモ），樹上熟成，逐個感應器測糖。
呢款桃出自信州北部善光寺平，千曲川同犀川交匯嗰帶，係日本數一數二嘅水蜜桃產地。兩樣嘢值得講。第一，樹成り完熟，即係留喺樹上熟透先摘，唔會為咗運輸提早採，甜味就係咁儲落嚟。第二，每一個桃入箱前都要過透過式糖度感應器，甜度係量出嚟，唔係估出嚟；夠級數先可以掛「輝々桃」個名。
食落最特別係口感。呢款係爽脆嗰種桃，咬落有聲，唔係腍身多汁嗰款。鍾意軟身嘅，放喺陰涼通風位擺一兩日就會轉腍。
